So, now you've had a brief introduction into who your editors are, myself and Meg thought it best we give you a little more detail about our lives and loves!

Hello Travaillers, I'm Darcie! A third-year Journalism and Public Relations student at the University of Lincoln! University consumes a quarter of my life, when I'm out of the lecture theatre I work full-time as a pub supervisor at the Ferry Boat Inn, (if you're looking to make a small travel excursion, I recommend). I've worked there on and off for the last four years, and I love every bit of it; pulling pints, serving tables, and chatting to customers!

Another quarter of my life is spent being the vice chair of Cygnet PR, a non-profit PR agency that provides other non-profit organisations with PR! I've been a part of Cygnet for the entirety of my university life. I love all of our members and am constantly in awe of their creativity and incredible skill sets. The clients we have worked with over the years never fail to remind me that there is so much good in the world!

Now for the really juicy stuff - my love letter to travel. Some may say that being in love with airports is eccentric! But personally, it's the only way I can accurately express the pure love I have for being at the airport! They are undeniably one of the most romantic places on earth and there's always such a buzz in airports no matter the reason for travelling.

Otherwise, I love travel because I wholeheartedly believe that it is vital to experience and understand different cultures. Even if you don't agree with them, seeing how others live is such a privilege and will either make you value your own culture or make you evolve your own principles.

Travelling has taught me so many things already - skiing, sailing, diving, and an attempt at surfing (I'm working on it!!). And I plan to learn so much more!
