We're a travel magazine, of course we're going to talk about our love for airports!

Airports always feel like an aspect of travel that is overlooked, something that is just rushed past - everyone is always too excited to get to their destination. But airports really are just one of the best places in the world!

So to prove ourselves right, here are our top 5 reasons you should also be in love with the airport!

  1. So romantic! I always believe that airports and train stations are the most romantic places on earth, they're the only places where most people are happy to stop and chat with a stranger. The best way to describe it really is just the end credits of Love Actually!

  2. Iconic airport pints! Always a great food selection - Wetherspoons, Prett, wine bars, Costa - there's always a great choice of well-priced food and drink. You will also never be judged for having a drink at any time of the day, even if it's 5am!

  3. Airport etiquette. We love the way that globally we have established airport etiquette such as airport dads, queuing correctly, waiting for your bags at the carousel, and controversially clapping once you land!

  4. People watching!!! Now this is one of our favoruite hobbies! Guess the person, where they're going, why they're traveling, and their entire life story! Inevitably we're always wrong but god we love it, and maybe one day we will get it right!!

  5. And finally, the outrage everyone has at the robotic passport scanners! There is nothing funnier than seeing an entire queue of people who should be excited to go on holiday become absolutely furious at the passport scanners. We don't get the problem with them but it is hilarious to see everybody up in arms about something so simple!

Now, if that hasn't tempted you to jump on Sky Scanner and find some last-minute flights just so you can go and enjoy an airport pint I really don't know what will!
