Now you’ve learnt a little more about Darcie, I thought it was time I talked about myself!

Hi Travailers, I’m Meg. The other half of the University of Lincoln’s third-year Journalism and PR course. Myself and Darcie may be part of one of the universities smallest courses but we love the opportunities it gives us to focus on specific areas of the industry and how the two subjects link together.

When I’m not studying at the University (or researching which country to spend next summer in), I work part-time as a sales consultant at The Fragrance Shop. I've spent over 3 years working in the fragrance industry and even succeeded in becoming a qualified expert with the Fragrance Foundation!

I am also the current president of the non-profit PR agency, Cygnet PR. I run the student-led agency alongside Darcie and am always in awe of the dedication and effort that all members put into the clients we work with. Cygnet PR has given me the chance to see the PR industry from a leadership point of view and I believe this has given me a really good insight into what I hope to be my future in PR.

I’m sure that now you’ve read a bit more about me, you can see that I have a clear passion for PR. However… my true passion is travel. When I was younger, our yearly family holidays were always the thing I most looked forward to, and my love for travelling has just kept on growing. My most searched websites have got to be Airbnb and Skyscanner, and I always have a holiday booked to look forward to!

Being a university student, travelling can be quite financially difficult which means I’m always on a mission to find a budget friendly getaway. My greatest success is 4 nights in Sorrento for just £145! I want to share with you all that it is possible to travel on a budget, and of course seasonal work is always a great way to earn and travel.

So please follow along as myself and Darcie share all of our top tips with you for seasonal work and budget friendly travel!
